2012 Art In Action by Chris Poole
For the second year EBTS UK were at the creative event of the year and this time with their own marquee in the Sculpture area.
Members were on hand to assist with questions about box, yew, best tools, when to clip and to generally encourage people to have a go! EBTS founder member Bobby Meyer had an area of the marquee where she did a good trade in her range of Sage Press books that cater for all levels of skills. She was also promoting the topiary photography competition that is being run in association with EBTS and we look forward to seeing the entries.
Part of James Crebbin-Baileys award winning Chelsea display was also on show. And throughout Friday Ian Gregory gave captivating talks about the society and demonstrations on how to clip to perfection.
Throughout the four days EBTS members talked, demonstrated and hopefully inspired visitors to get involved or just enjoy what can be done in the garden.
Thanks to all the visitors who attended (especially on Thursday and Friday when the weather was less than brilliant) and to the EBTS members who gave their time on the stand.
