Updated hotel accommodation details added 03/02/19
Exclusively arranged for EBTS UK by Boxwood Tours, this 4-day trip will fly you to Palma where we’ll start by seeing the cathedral in the heart of the city. After this, by special invitation, we visit Writers Block, the garden of Jeffrey Archer. Next we visit a small formal garden at Marivent Palace, the Spanish Royal families home during the summer, before settling in at the 5 star Nixe Palace which will be our new base during our stay. The hotel replaces the Sa Torre Hilton hotel which has a new owner and is undergoing refurbishment. However, the Nixe Palace is closer to Palma and looks out across a beautiful beach and all rooms have sea view with small balcony so will be an ideal location.
Over the next few days we will visit the Soller botanical gardens, the Jardines de Alfabia, Biniagual a lovingly restored private hamlet containing contrasting small gardens & a vineyard where we’ll have the opportunity for some wine tasting. Son Muda home of Helene & Christian Lindgens with clipped hedges and a host of sculptures by local artist Pedro Flores, we’ll visit Camilla Chandon’s garden at Son Muleta and we’ll have some free time to explore the delights of the small town of Valldemossa. Full details of the itinerary can be seen by downloading it below.
This trip will show us a different style of gardening, using a variety of plants that work well in a Mediterranean climate but can still be clipped to great effect.
Our guides on this exclusive EBTS tour will be Sally Beale, branch head of the Mediterranean Garden Society Balearic’s and our very own Charlotte Maclean.
Please note that if the trip is oversubscribed, preference will be given to EBTS UK members in the order in which bookings are received by Boxwood Tours.
