The day will start at The Prebendal Manor at Nassington, with its award winning reconstruction of a medieval garden. Refreshments will be provided on arrival. Next we visit Elton Hall, near Peterborough. The gardens were first laid out in the 1670s but have been completely revitalised over the last 35 years. The topiary is magnificent. We will also see a topiary garden that is not normally open to the public.
After lunch at a pub in the village of Elton we visit Rockingham Castle, famous for its vast 400 year old ‘Elephant Hedge’ and views over the Welland valley. Cream tea will be taken at Walker’s House at the castle.
