The AGM will take place at the newly refurbished Garden Museum in Lambeth. Coffee and tea will be available from 09:30 with the formal proceedings starting at 1000. After which we are delighted to have a talk by Dr Noel Kingsbury, British garden designer, writer on gardening, plant sciences and related topics.
There will also be demonstrations of topiary art and displays. There will be clipping demonstrations by James Crebbin-Bailey, gold medal winner at Chelsea, in the nave which will be open to the public, giving a great opportunity to encourage new members into the Society.
Events after lunch will include a tour of the Archbishop of Canterbury’s private garden, by courtesy of Mrs Welby, conducted by the head gardener, Nick Stewart. Also there will be topiary based artworks on display from the Redfern Gallery and a short talk about the Bradford born artist Norman Stevens ARA.
Pimpernel Press will also be launching ‘Topiary, Knots & Parterres’ written by our magazine editor Caroline Foley and members will be able to collect their pre-booked copies a month ahead of it’s official publication date.
Refreshments will include tea/coffee on arrival, an early lunch in the new café / restaurant and afternoon tea and cake.
Note: The formal AGM meeting is free, however if you wish to attend the rest of the days events then you need to be an EBTS member or attend as a guest of a member.
